Colonial Park BOKS Program
Beginning the week of November 6, the Colonial Park PTO is excited to offer the fall session of BOKS (Build Our Kids’ Success) at our school.
BOKS, an initiative of Reebok, is a FREE physical activity program for elementary schools. The goal of the program is to create a significant impact in the elementary school community by increasing physical activity as a means of improving academic performance. Every class includes a functional, fun and interactive approach to fitness through a game-based curriculum and ends with a quick nutrition tip. Classes are led by volunteer trainers (teachers, parents or school staff members). BOKS is currently active in over 1,200 schools across North America.
To learn more about the BOKS program, visit www.bokskids.com.
The BOKS fall session will begin on Mon. Nov. 6th. Sessions are scheduled for each Monday and Wednesday from 7:30AM – 8:15AM.
The BOKS program is open to all Colonial Park students, Kindergarten through 4th grade. To enroll your child, please use the link below to complete the registration form.
We are looking for parents to volunteer as helpers for either Monday or Wednesday mornings or both. When completing the online registration, there is a volunteer sign up section.
If we receive more applications than there are slots available, participants will be selected by a lottery process. Siblings will be kept together and parents who offer to volunteer will only be selected if their children are participating. Please keep in mind that BOKS should not be used for before school daycare.
Please register no later than Wednesday, Nov. 1 for consideration.
